I love working in care I find great satisfaction in helping people, I am naturally a positive, bubbly character. I like to be on the go and if I am working with someone depending on their needs if it is a nice day we would be out for a walk or if we are in the house I would like to encourage activities such as seated exercises, baking, jigsaw and whatever the person would like to do I would try and accommodate this as best I could. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

DD8 2DE 12024 Hi my name is Val I began my career in health and social care many years ago, I am an experienced carer in all aspects of care. I am professional, compassionate and driven. I hold SVQ level 2 and SVQ level 3 and also hold a professional development award. I strongly believe in taking a holistic approach when caring for individuals, I also believe that care should be person centred and unique to each and every person. I believe it is important that each and every individual is included in the decisions being made about their care and their likes, dislikes and preferences and are first and foremost when implementing their care plan. In my previous employment my role as a care coordinator involved creating care plans, and implementing the care plans to the highest standard. As care coordinator I also communicated with other multidisciplinary agencies to keep the client safe, but to also make sure they received the highest standard of quality care and support making sure to always promote independence when able and making sure the client always feels respected and dignified. 2 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

PH11 8DH 115771 I am a mum to 4 lovely children and have worked in care for 20 years with a few short breaks for starting a family and studying for my degree in Forensic Science and Criminal Psychology. I enjoy having nice walks with my family and dogs in the lovely countryside where we live. I have also been a volunteer puppy walker for the Guide Dogs for 5 years now, caring for the pups in our home from around 8 weeks of age until they reach their sight traing age at aroung 18 months. I started as an Auxiliary Nurse in my local NHS hospital 20 years ago which allowed me to develop skills and knowledge in different care settings. I have been a self employed carer for 6 years working through my local councils Direct Care scheme. I have my own transport and can be extremely flexible. I am patient, compassionate and respectful of my clients needs and wishes. I am a professional carer with a friendly and empathic manner. I believe a carer should give their clients 100% and believe clients should be treated with respect and dignity at all times. I have hands on experience with catheter care, stoma bag care, moving & handling and oxygen therapy via mask or trachea. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

KY16 9XW 241112 Availability update, Sept 2024 - Hourly: I am now available for short hourly assignments in the Fife and Tayside areas, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays only. Live-in & overnight: I will be available continuously from the 19th to the 30th of December (inclusive) for one-off live-in and overnight assignments, anywhere in the UK. --- I am a Scottish lady with a Law degree who decided to go into care and housekeeping. I started medical school in St Andrews on the 7th of September this year and hope to combine this with occasional hourly care assignments in the local area, as well as live-in work during holiday times. I have been a carer since late 2021, undergoing full residential training with a live-in agency. In my time with the agency I gained experience working with MND, learning disabilities, Parkinsons, stroke, catheter care and late-stage dementia, among others. In May 2022 my friend had a stroke and I was invited by her family to move in and help her to recover. I lived with her as a carer and a friend until June 2023 when she sadly passed away. Since my friend's passing I have worked with a variety of clients through Curam, as well as with a private client from October until March this year. Up to this point my references have been uniformly positive. I have two 'Excellent' recommendations on Curam. I would describe myself as independent, conscientious and an organiser. If your environment is very cluttered or disorganised, this would need to be sorted out before I can start working with you. I do not charge clients for travel to or from placements. I have a full driving licence (manual and automatic) and am insured to take clients in my car. Two practical points: 1. I cannot commit to a placement until the Service Agreement has been approved. Recently (May 2024) a client made a firm offer but pulled out several days later, on short notice. 2. I ask clients to settle their invoices before work begins. Because of a difficult experience in the past, I will not travel to you until this has been done. These funds are held safely by Curam until after the end of the work period and will be refunded if for any reason the work is not completed. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 3"}
