FY4 1LX 7854 Available for Personal Care/Personal assistant work in FY4/FY8/FY6/FY5/PR4 areas, for daytime and sleepover. Available for Companionship, Dressing & Undressing, Bathroom Assistance, Medication Prompting, Eating & Drinking, Personal Grooming, Physio assistance, washing/showering and personal hygiene, Transportation, light domestic activities, Shopping and Cooking, Pet care, Dog Walking/ pet care, computer and email assistance, general office admin type work, and have a full, clean driving licence (driving 30+ years), own a car and am insured for business use (fully comprehensive insurance). I also have my own public liability insurance, comparable and separate to that provided by Curamcare, from Simply Business. I've been a PA to a little disabled girl for almost 2 years, under the Direct Payment scheme. I've experienced in working with children with varying degrees of Autism and special needs both physical and mental and have experienced use of a peg feeding tube. I've also been a PA to a 32 yo lady with learning disabilities. My main work area now is adult care work too and love being out in the community with my clients working with them in their own homes and include blind, dementia, MS, Parkinson’s and stroke clients and assisting those who have come from hospital having had knee/hip surgery for temporary domestic recuperation cover within the home. I also enjoy my PA and childcare work providing respite for parents and giving the client safe access to social events and other life experiences. I've built up a lovely rapport with all my clients and get the feeling I'm part of their family too. I'm referred to as a Little Ray of Sunshine and an Angel by some of my clients and am bubbly, happy, positive and lift their spirits when I can see they're down. With the children, I do activities such as baking, rock painting, singing/karaoke, making sandcastles, shopping tasks and role play as well as taking them to places like the SPACE centre in Preston, soft play areas, parks and local Farm activity centres and The Sandcastle (the highlight for some is going to McDonalds!!) and also attend to their personal care needs. The PA work with my adult clients, we go to Level for Karaoke, craft and card making sessions, mooching around shopping centres, Garden Centres, Autism groups, swimming, Circus, cinema, 10-Pin Bowling, walking etc, whatever the client likes to do. I enjoy chatting and interacting with my clients of all ages as I may be the only person they see all day and we both look forward to our regular care sessions. This is as important as the personal care I give. I treat all my clients with care, compassion as if they were my own child, parent or grand-parent. (I helped care for my own Nana who had Dementia for many years until she sadly passed away in 2007.) My recent work during the Covid Lockdowns has been providing 24/7 live in care. I have received all Covid Vaccinations offered plus pneumonia and yearly flu jabs, and undertake regular twice weekly Covid testing. I've also worked for a local homeless charity working with vulnerable young adults (aged 16-25) for 4 years and dealt with clients with varying mental health and learning needs issues. I've also had my own daughter who is now 23 and living independently. I have an on line DBS subscription for enhanced DBS for Adult care in operation. I’m also a qualified Aromatherapy Masseur, Reflexologist and Indian Head Masseur (VTCT trained). Currently, I have clients (children and adults) in the Poulton, Cleveleys, Lytham St Anne's, Wrea Green and Preston, Lancs areas. All other local areas (eg Kirkham, Fylde areas) considered. Willing to travel over 10 miles from FY4 Blackpool Airport area. Mileage rate will be required and invoiced separately. All rates quoted are negotiable, to a degree. Work on public bank holidays will attract an extra premium. Whilst I don’t smoke, I don’t mind if you do, but out of courtesy and preservation of my own health, if you could have your last cigarette 45 minutes before my arrival and desist for the duration of my visit, it would be much appreciated. Please note, due to my own current health issues, I am unable to do significant manual handling. Also, I only care for early stage dementia clients, not late stage dementia clients on live in terms due to the fact I only do sleeping nights on live in work. I look forward to hearing from you. 2 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

I work with a person-centred approach and I am passionate and successful in helping clients to lead their best life. Helping clients to focus on what they can do and not what they can't do is the core of my approach. I have a diverse skillset which includes running my own life coaching company, advocacy, mentoring, dementia advisor, community care, housekeeping/cooking, companionship, good planning and organisational skills as well as being a qualified holistic therapist. Diploma in Mindful Nutrition and currently studying Mindful Mental Health. I believe in a compassionate and empathic approach and in particular helping people to live independently and safely within their own homes whilst maintaining dignity, self respect and longevity. If as a family, you live far away and you need someone to oversee the daily living of your loved ones, hiring a personal assistant can give you the peace of mind and confidence that they are well and being looked after. If any issues arise, they/you have someone to help navigate the relevant pathways. I have a lifetime of experience working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds with many different needs and making sure that clients needs are met spiritually mentally and physically are at the core of my approach. I am trustworthy, reliable, punctual and good company and can provide many references to substantiate this. I love a game of scrabble, reading, listening to music, meditation, conversation, coffee, cooking, photography, travel. I am well travelled and have a few tales to tell. I am told that I am a great conversationalist but I also like quiet time and am happy in my own company as well as being sociable. Many thanks for your interest. I look forward to discussing your requirements. Points to note: My sleepover night rate of £100 is from 10pm to 8.00am the next morning.
