I am a compassionate and enthusiastic carer with a knack for taking care of the vulnerable ones in the comfort of their residences and also in the care homes. This aspect of my work ethics is very natural with me, having worked hand in hand with my mother who retired as a nurse. I had time to understudy her in how she helped the elderly ones during which we visited them in their homes and provided their personal needs ranging from personal care, administering medication, dressing their wounds and keeping them company, also with the practicals I undertook during my school days in the United Kingdom and partly during my stay over there . As it stands I look forward to doing that again because it makes me a fulfilled being seeing that I could render services to the elderly and the vulnerable ones empathetically and with compassion and make them happy. I can work conveniently alone with no supervision. Teamwork, honesty, kindness and empathy are my usual way of life. Some of my hobbies are Music and dance, research, cooking, exercise both indoors and outdoors, writing and presenting reports. I have done live-in care and domiciliary care with specialization in incontinence management and I can always prove my experiences in these areas. I had taken care of an individual with Last stage dementia and one with Parkinson's disease who used PEG to take medication. Finally I work hard to meet the satisfaction of my clients and my service users and also commit a lot of unsocial hours to my work ethics knowing full well that if there are no service users, I do not have a job. I still keep up to date with the practices in other sectors of the care sector, including nursing and care and care in the community, and still work in these environments. I have training and the practical experience in specialist areas, such as special needs, dementia, palliative care and others such as challenging behaviours, self-harm, violent outbursts, danger to the public and Autism and Down Syndromes. I believe we should all work together as it is only then we can create the type of world, most of us wish to live in. My personal life revolves around nay family, which takes up much of my free time, including my son and wife, Granddaughter, nephews, nieces, cousins, and of course my “aunties” and “uncles”, who still offer me advice on anything (or everything) except I am an “auntie” to a few, and am happy to give advice and guidance based on my own experience, life. Myself and a few other African ladies have formed a club and invest resources etc. to help and empower Africans mainly back in Southern Africa, but also abroad to succeed, especially women, and encourage them to do the same for others. I do not give my services lightly, but when I commit to something, I do it to the best of my ability utilising my experience and my upbringing that taught me that the greatest thing we can do is the care of others. Life gets me in situations where others need help either mentally or psychically or they might need someone to listen to. these situations are the ones where I feel my passion fulfilled to help and to care. I gained most of my care experiences working as a Nanny in various countries. I also finished a medical secondary school where I managed to acquire the basics of health care. Since 11/21 I work for a company who is specialised in spinal cord injuries. I'm fully trained at the company but every client is unique with their special needs and treatments. In addition, I had a chance to take care of my grandparents who played an essential role in m my life: I helped them with household chores, grooming and shopping when they were not able to do them themselves. I was thought by parents to respect elderly people and help them in need which turned out to be my calling as an adult. I always work from my heart and treat people the way I wish to be treated.
