RH9 8HX 54766 I have been in care work for 8 years in both residential home and private homes in a family setting. I have gained varied experience in that time supporting vulnerable young adults and elderly people in their homes. I was inspired to do such work as a consequence of helping to care for my autistic sister and helping care for my disabled brother in law. I care deeply about the work that I do and gain great job satisfaction from helping and improving the quality of life of the people that I care for. I am reliable ensuring that what needs to be done is done and is done to a high standard. I am empathetic, patient and compassionate. RH19 2DR 275070  I had to describe myself in three words, I would say: reliable, caring, loyal.  I have been working as a live-in carer in the UK since 2017. Until now I was working clients with spinal cord injuries. But I also have experience with people living with dementia, MS, Parkinson's disease, Down syndrome. I worked with my last client from 2020 to 2024. The most important thing for me is mutual trust and respect. I like to having conversation, but I'm also good at listening when I need to. I always keep in mind that the client I work with should feel as comfortable as possible. To achieve this, I try to quickly learn their daily routines and habits, support them in what they need help with, but also allow them to remain independent.  I like to cook, either alone or with the client, for example following his/her instructions if he/she is physically limited.  I read a lot, especially fiction and am a big movie lover. Since 2011 I have been practicing a wonderful martial art, TaiJi. Contact me, and I’ll reply as soon as I can. Thank you. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

CR0 0NP 224035 My name is Pamela, and I have been a carer for over twenty years. I have worked with clients from many backgrounds and in various settings. I have spent twenty years with people with neurological and long-term disabilities and the rest of my working life with clients who have medical needs that need care and support. On the whole, I have also worked in acute settings such as ICU, A&E, and homecare. I have also worked as an agency staff at the London Clinic, St John and St Elizabeth, and have made a difference in all the lives of clients and families I have supported. My work is always outstanding as I do believe in giving my best at all times. I believe that as a lone worker, care must be delivered in an inclusive way in partnership with the client, family, and friends. I am responsible for my own practice and demonstrate this in every aspect of my service and always work towards the fulfilment of others and making a difference in the lives. *Please note that the fees are basic. I’m a very good listener, sensitive and trustworthy. and love to see the difference I make going to see the same person regularly. Building a working relationship is very important to me as I get to see any changes In a persons wellbeing. I’ve had experience of working as a team leader for one year in a care agency but my work in the community with the people that mattered was limited due to office work. I am enjoying being back out where I belong. I can provide lovely references from people whose family members I’ve looked after, my experience with mainly dementia clients involved personal care, medication, meal preparation, house cleaning and companionship. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

Understanding dementia with alzheimer's society

RH1 6NT 100545 I have worked as a carer for the last 6 years. I am compassionate, kind and patient and have enjoyed making a positive difference in the lives of the people I have been fortunate to care for. I have worked with people with dementia, anxiety and depression. I understand the importance of listening and working at the pace the individuals are comfortable with, to ensure that all of my engagement is positive and supportive and, most importantly, in the best interests of the client. I enjoy helping clients feel their best, and recognise that it means a great deal to some, especially to promote confidence, which often lessens in later life. I worked with one lady for over two years, through Covid, and liaising closely with her family I helped co-ordinate a small outdoor gathering for her 80th birthday. I helped her with her hair and clothes and provided all of the reassurance she needed to relax and enjoy her day reuniting with close family. She had a wonderful time and the family have expressed their gratitude to me for that special day. This lady I cared for sadly passed away in June last year following ill health and several months in a nursing home. I visited her frequently in her nursing home and spent time with her and her family during the very difficult final days. In addition to being able to provide the varying practical support required such as eating, cooking, personal care, cleaning and administrative support, I also have a full clean driving licence and very much enjoy taking clients out for outings and to meet friends. Providing companionship and helping my clients to enjoy their day to day lives as much as possible is very rewarding. I have had very positive feedback from the families I have supported and I want to build upon that experience in my future roles. I love to read and very much enjoy being out in nature. I like to go on walks with my family and discover new places. Like cooking, would be lovely to get clients involved in it as well. At the minute I am available 9am-11am Monday and Friday, Tuesday -Wednesday most of the day Half day every other Saturday. Can work on Bank Holiday.( time and a half ) Would love to work with more mobile clients as have more experience so feel would be more beneficial to the client. Please do get in touch with me as I would very much like to hear from you. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

I am a friendly and chatty lady who is interested in a range of topics and have experience of living abroad. CR51QT 186005 My name is Sarah and I have been a carer for 8 years to people with learning disabilities. I then went on to do my nurse training in mental health and further study in public health nursing. I have decided to become a personal assistant/ carer again as I've realised that I love this type of work most and enjoy making a difference in people's lives. I recently gave up my full time post as a public health nurse to care for my father who had dementia. Unfortunately he passed away due to covid but I actually loved spending this time with him and although this was cut short it has made me understand what I really want to do with my career now and become a carer again. I have gained many skills and knowledge over the past 20 years working with the NHS. My background is mostly working with people in mental health, learning difficulties, and dementia care. I am very hard working and will support anyone as if they are my own family and recognise peoples needs are very unique and tailor my approach to care on a very individual basis. I have two children aged 10 and 14 one of which has a mental health condition. I love to go for long walks, cycle and run. I enjoy travelling when able to and I also like gardening. 0 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}
