I have a lot of experience in, Personal care, catheter care, peg feeding, medicine administration, dementia, Parkinson’s, moving and handling. I prepare meals and can also sort out most household chores. I pride myself in giving the best service possible, that of which I would expect if it was for my own family. I am a driver and have my own car. Always happy to take clients to there appointments as well as shopping. If preferred I can go and fetch whatever is needed. I firmly believe that my clients must have healthy, balanced diets, full of fresh vegetables and fruits .I love cooking so there will always be fresh cooked meals. Mostly my clients have there main meal at lunchtime and a small dinner of probably home made soup or something light Whilst I am at my clients home I try to see if any post has arrived, the washing done and drying ,dishes clean and put away. The same with bedding or anything else needing to be sorted out, or shopping needed. I am always ready , As I don’t have any family commitments and can always do sleepovers, urgent respite or come to give carers or family a short break. I love gardens, as well as having lots of interesting hobbies, pets are very welcome, I love animals. I had previously worked as a live in carer, And my placement lasted just over a year, as a Personal Assistant. I worked with an elderly, It was a great pleasure caring for my client, who had early and late stage of Dementia, stroke and end of life care. . Some of my duties involved Moving and Handling, e.g. slides sheet, stand aid,slings, catheter care, personal care, home care service, support service with physical and Learning Disabilities, and older people. I also acquired experiences working in a care home, community care service. That involved home visits to clients, prepared meal, medication prompting, assisting with dress / undress, bath / shower, administered or prompted to take medication, domestic duties, assist with mobility and feeding However I am looking for a more stable placement on a one to one Care. I am naturally a caring nature person, who puts venerable individuals at the heart of everything I do. I am compassionate, empathetic, caring, helpful, reliable, responsible and respectful. Especially due to my background. I like to treat each individual with respect, dignity, kindness. I am extremely patience person, good communication skills and I am competent and professional. I am passionate about helping others in living their best possible lives in the comfort of there own home. Assistant with feeding I have worked with vulnerable adults with Dementia, Physical Disabilities, temporarily sick needing bed nursing and/or help with feeding, service user/ clients with Mental Health assisting users/clients through talking to them, taking them out, sharing within activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreations, treating them as an individual’s using Person Cantered. As COSCA Counselling gave me great understanding and knowledge has improved my experiences.
