PL253JD 91907 I have been working in health care for 12 years now. I have had an interest in gaining many experiences to increase my understanding of the profession. I have been privileged to have worked in people's own homes, in care homes and the hospital setting. My training and experience has allowed me to confidently carry out self-employed health care work within a family. I have studied the human body and learnt about interesting subjects, such as skin integrity, which I find fascinating. I have completed many in house training courses, such as first aid and health and safety stoma care and catheter care. I have given person-centred care to people of different ages, backgrounds and health conditions which I find mutually beneficial. I get to learn more about you and you get someone that takes a keen interest in supporting your needs. I do enjoy seeing improvements in someone's quality of life, whatever is manageable for the person. In my private life I get to walk my dog ànd enjoy the fresh air and local scenery. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1, 4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

PL26 7SJ 44167 I am a mature professional lady with a young outlook, I have previously enjoyed a variety of work experiences from caring to teaching/pastoral support/learning support in a secondary school, to holistic therapies, to business and renovating properties. I enjoy meeting new people and like to think I bring some sunshine to their day. I am kind, caring, honest and reliable with a good sense of humour! I have worked as a live-in carer and also as a home carer where I visited clients in their own homes. I completed companionship visits, including personal care duties, end of life care including catheter and using hoist equipment. The medical conditions have included stroke, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, heart conditions, Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. I have also cared for my own Mum who has recently recovered from breast cancer. More recently I have looked after an elderly gentleman with Alzheimer's as a waking night, and also as a live in carer for a lady who was recovering from a stroke. We worked together to promote her independence and I assisted when required. Her health has improved greatly over several weeks. Both jobs were on a self-employed basis. I work closely with the physio and Occupational Therapists. I include the daily exercises to strengthen muscle groups and balance to aid mobility and independence. I offer hourly companionship/care/chaperone duties and also respite care in the school holidays. I consider live in however I do have a dog and prefer to bring him with me if at all possible. I am double vaccinated and also had the booster. In August 2022 II now have 3 years experience as a companion. 2 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

TR7 3HJ 240612 Hello! My name is Melissa but you can call me Mel. I am a Mother of 2 daughters aged 15 and 12. I have 9 years experience in care in different aspect’s and working with a wide variety of needs. I started my career in care in a small, personal residential home and worked my way up to help to ensure the smooth running of the home by working closely with the homes Directors, Manager and Healthcare professionals such as Doctors, District Nurses, Community Psychiatrist Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists and most importantly our lovely residents and their family! I now work out in the community caring and I have done this for the past 5 years and I really enjoy it. I work for a homecare company and I also care privately. I have built such lovely relationships with all those I care for and with their families too! I have experience, but not restricted too, working with the elderly, dementia, mobility difficulties, mental health, challenging behaviour and learning difficulties. I have a diploma in Health and Social Care and The Care Certificate. I am experienced and keep up to date with all relevant training such as Moving and Handling, Trips and Falls, Safeguarding, Food Safety, Medication, Dementia, End of Life, Pressure Care, Fire Safety and more. I am a friendly, reliable, trustworthy, compassionate and caring person by nature. I like to build a good rapport with those I care for and their family. I understand how difficult some situations can be and I may be able to offer you some support by caring for yourself or your loved one to enable you to continue with day to day tasks, work commitments or needing a load taken off - I understand this. I am passionate about delivering high standards of care and I have a good understanding of individuality - not ‘one size fits all!’ I treat those I care for with upmost respect, dignity and confidentiality. I love to help others and to put a smile on faces where I can, I find this really rewarding and it gives me a good sense of achievement. I love doing what I do and visiting my lovely customers, it doesn’t feel like ‘work’ Fully Insured Employer and customer references available on request. Please get in touch if you think I may be able to help you in any way, I look forward to chatting with you! 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

PL5 1DE 172484 I am friendly, caring and compassionate person who love to interact with people and my passion is to be part of someones growing and development. I have over 9 years experience supporting vulnerable adults and young people with Dementia, learning difficulties and significant physical disabilities, including vascular dementia, autism, mental health, challenged behaviour, stroke, muscular dystrophy etc. These experiences have made reflect on the different interpersonal skills and attitudes required to adapt to the situation and the client to maximise participation, but also to build a good rapport where trust is important. I have been able to make a positive difference in individual’s life by follow standards and helping them to live independent, secure, and safe from harm. I keep myself motivate and always have a good attitude. I did additional studies in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People’s Service which brought me more experience in the sector. I also promoted numerous changes and improvements to my client’s life, by introducing menu plans, food intake, health charts, observation charts, repositioning charts etc. I had the ability to think on my feet to be able to prioritise tasks, but also ensure others tasks are covered. I have always shown great flexibility to meet the needs of the client, sometimes at short notice which shows the unpredictability of managing vulnerable clients. I have a good understanding regarding the management of vulnerable adults, safeguarding policy, but also issues surrounding mental capacity. I understand the importance of working alongside their families who also requires to be well supported as much as the customers involved in the care. Equally, I have developed acute sensitivity towards subtle changes in a person’s behaviour or presentation that may indicate all is not well. I feel confident that I understand policies and procedures to address concerns and I am very proud that at times – however difficult, I put the needs of my customers first. I am able to clearly and confidently lease with other members of the multidisciplinary team involved in customer’s support plan as this encourages good communication and facilitates continuity of care. I have done several trainings in complex care. I also understand the need for hydration, good nutrition, skin care/pressure care, medication as part of the client’s holistic management. Those trainings helped me to understanding these vulnerable people conditions have multifactorial elements of care and I feel confident in being able to give the right support, but also communicate with those specialist services responsible to the specific care. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

TR8 5EL 226213 Hi there I’m Sheryl, I’ve worked with many patients/clients in 4 years the main learning was from my dear dad. The expertise I’ve worked in are necrosis, wound dressing, seizures, early and late stage dementia, end of life care, palliative care, low to no Mobilty, personal care (washing, showering and dressing for the day and undressing ready for bed, oral hygiene. I can also do light cleaning, lunches, ‘happy days’ out of the house/home to gardens, the beach, wave watching, memory clinics, any wish that your loved one would love to do if able, I have my own car a trip out the house to change the scenery which is much needed for the soul and mental health. respite care from 1 day to 7 days for those amazing family members taking on the role of Caring themselves that need that break to recharge your battery’s, I totally respect and feel this as I did myself with my own dad. Ive helped with Parkinson’s, MSA, stroke, catheter care, medications, cancer, incontenance, mental health, ADHD, Bipolar, anxiety, depression, early and late stage dementia, long covid, dialyses patients or any that find everyday tasks a struggle such as hoovering, laundry, shopping. Please send me a message if your wishes and needs and I will do my best for you. My story I have looked after my dear dad solo in 2022, I gave him everything he could possibly want or need as wished by him as he rightly deserved (he looked after me so it’s only right I am able to do the same) I gave him his medications, cooked for him, picked up prescriptions, guided him with his walker, to the toilet safely, then the commode in his room, when bed bound I gave him a shave to feel fresh, washed his body to feel fresh, dressed and undressed him, changed his adult Bed pads, stayed right next to him, read him story’s he read to me, like old fables, simple stories he read me. I stayed with dad overnight for 2 months in his room and watched him closely mostly at night to be sure he was safe as he had to have one leg out of the bed due to his bad leg which was tricky keeping him in his own bed with no hospital bed as it wasn’t workable in his case and also the medication he was on was very strong, i kept dad safe from any falls in the night and have no regrets with the care I gave dad, he said thank you for everything you do for me x I’d love to help you or your loved one have the same care and attention as my own dad, with upmost respect, stories read, help with crosswords, jigsaws, colouring books, feeding, watering and watching the birds, I know exactly how you feel at these difficult times. I live in a cottage on the outskirts of newquay, we have 6 chickens and 5 cats no more goats! I love the garden, it’s time for the garden to start blossoming soon, I’m happy to do a little gardening, cleaning, weeding, bird feeding , dog walking anything I can help you or your loved one out as a personal assistant also, I can help with phone calls and appointments and take you to your appointments wait and return for you so there is No hanging around in hospital for hours. My love and drive in this life is to help others, it always has been especially after looking after my Dad. I do have a nutritional background which has been a passion for the past 15 years and still ongoing alongside my pre hospital and medical care. I’m also a competent trained phlebotomist (taking blood samples) I’m also registered with HPAC (health practice associates council) as an emergency first responder. I have worked with the ambulance service as an ‘ambulance care assistant’ I’ve worked shifts at A&E treliske with the NHS. I can Come fully equipped to take patient stats, blood pressure, oxygen rate, pulse rate, blood sugar levels, if needed to make sure everything is as it should be for peace of mind. Maybe you as a family need a little break for a day or few days off for a holiday? I can also give 24 hour, live in care or 6,8 or 12 hour care whichever suits you or your family. PL33 9AP 216376 My Name is Kali, I have been a Care Assistant for 10 years I absolutely love my job, I take great pride in assisting people to stay in their own home, happy and safe. I am caring, compassionate and patient. I have worked with lots of people with different conditions/illnesses. I do sleeping nights and the occasional waking nights. I also prefer bulk shifts in the day maybe this would suit someone who needs me to stay with them for a few hours in the day or overnight. I like to take my dog out on nice walks, go swimming and have the occasional theatre trips. I also have 2 wonderful children. Thank you for reading. If you are looking for a carer/pa overnight or for a few hours and think I would be suitable then please send me a message. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 5"}
