I studied and achieved a national diploma in health and social care and gained practical experience working in the local hospital, care homes and child care settings. This role was an incredible experience for me where I had a greater insight into all areas of care. I worked closely with local authorities and governing bodies and gained further experience. My father in law has a diagnosis of late stage Parkinson's disease and I provide care for him on a daily basis. Gaining experiences and working my way to the top to become a registered manager was what I always aspired to become however caring for my father in law made me realise that was why I wanted to become a carer in the first place.
