LN4 1LR 29965 I qualified as an SRN in Nottingham prior to accepting a commission in the RAF and Army to continue my nursing career in the U.K. and overseas. I then decided to have a change of career and commenced employment in the Pharmaceutical Industry, until I retired. I started work as a carer soon after retiring and have acquired a great deal of experience over the years. I am practical, reliable and hard-working. My enthusiasm for helping and caring for others has enabled me to build up successful relationships with clients and their families. I should now prefer to remain within a reasonable distance of my home in Lincoln, My hobbies include gardening, cooking (especially cake-making) and holidaying in Europe whenever possible. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":"0","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":"0","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":"0","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":"0","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":"0","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":"0","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":"0"}

LN6 0LT 5401 I had worked with elderly people and children. I worked with learning disability and mental health in a home, where I used to look after elderly people assisting them with bathing, using the toilet. dressing and undressing feeding assisting with mobility and assisting to communicate and encouraging their physical development and independence. Being a carer, I care very much about people, I had worked with people assisting them and I am still working with people, all my life has always been working with people. As a live in carer, I really love caring, assisting those who are unable to live independently because they are unable to perform basic day-to-day activities and run their household adequately. Basic day-to-day activities that are important for living independently like: getting in and out of bed, getting dressed and undressed, moving around, walking, eating and drinking, assisting with medication, using the toilet, bathing etc. Also, encouraging their independence and promoting their interest. Having been working with elderly people for a long time has also taught me how to respect people’s choices and treat each person as an individual without being judgemental. I see my clients as people and not just because it is a job. My duties also include maintaining all day to day report in line with the client’s care plan in the care report book. Maintaining regular communication with the branch manager and care leaders. Attending team meetings and undergoing trainings. Managing workload by working under instructions and own initiative and encouraging client’s independence. I am patience, kinds, positive, and tolerant. It also takes compassion, empathy, dedication and a non-judgemental attitude. I have also found, with many clients, that it helps to be a good home cook! These are the most important attributes of caring. I can take things one at a time and can work towards goals no matter how long it takes I will still be patient and appreciative. I am a very understanding person having brought up my two boys single handedly, I understand children’s feeling and their behaviour, I am also very empathetic I can put people in my shoes. I do not give up easily, I am perseverance I can hang in there no matter how tough it takes to achieve something. I know that it may take long to get something done, but one will get there in the end. I am flexible and adaptable, I can learn new things, experience new situations and I am prepared to have days that don’t always turn out has planned I love reading, cooking, music and meeting people. I hold a current DBS. I am willing to travel to any part of the country as a live carer. I could also work locally, if I was offered long shift of 10 - 12 hours per shift. Unfortunately due to allergy, I am unable to look after pets. I have a driving licence, but I am not driving at moment, because I am working on doing a refresher course. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

NG31 9RA 26010 I have had extensive experience of working in the Health Sector, for over 15 years. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, day centres and in private homes as a live in carer. Having such diverse exposure, I am someone who is confident in what I do when it comes to caring for people with different ailments. I have had experience and training to work with vulnerable adults, those who suffer from Alzheimers, Dementia, Parkinson's, Diabetes, just to mention a few. I am comfortable with offering personal care and assisting. I enjoy cooking and am capable of making wholesome meals (British meals such as shepherd's pie, casseroles, fishcakes, toad in the hole, apple crumble, just a few to mention) and willing to learn. My experience in dealing with various multi-agencies in the healthcare sector has ensured that the people I look after are getting the adequate help available for example liaising with the Occupational Health Workers for equipment that makes life manageable and restoring needed independence. To enhance my skill as a Carer, I attained a qualification in National Vocational Qualification in Health and Social Care Level 3. I also have a full driving licence, and a car is needed, which helps to make travelling to appointments or days out much easier. I have a good interpersonal skills and communication skills, am proficient in English Language and willing to learn new words in order to enrich communication. I am a genuinely patient and caring person who is good at putting other people's needs first and concerned about other people's welfare. This allows me to be able to put the needs and preferences of the person I will be caring for first and ensuring that their voice is heard whichever way possible. I have a dry sense of humour sometimes but I have the ability to remain professional at the same time. I enjoy watching TV, going out for walks and visiting garden centres, going through photos and listening to stories of memories that means something to someone, cooking and gardening. Although I do not have much exposure to pets, my experience of working with one client who had a dog, a friendly Cocker Spaniel made me to be open minded to the possibility of having a pet around me. I enjoy going to church when time and opportunity allows. My Christian values helps me to be a grounded, honest and to be a flexible person who is also open minded to the view that not everyone has to share same values with me and ability to respect that. This flexibility extended to other spheres as well, when its required. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}
