KT15 2LX 127126 Having worked within the healthcare sector for a period of time I have come to understand that through a well structured person centred care plan, individuals and and will live a dignified, meaningful and fulfilling life. Looking after a human being has its challenges as many would agree not everyday is the same and you can never be prepared enough for unknown, but with experience and training I have learnt to respond to difficult situations as calmly as possible whilst maintaining the best interest of those in my care. It is during these years in service that I have developed a compassionate approach, it is important for me to get to know the individual am working with so I can support them appropriately to pursue and enjoy their interests. I chose the health care pathway while caring for my mother who was diabetic and eventually kidney failure, during that time we would spend a lot of time In and out of hospitals taking her for her dialysis sessions. I would sit with her and I would notice a lot of Nursing staff running around doing all that they can to make the patients comfortable, when mum demised I decided I wanted to carry on working supporting others with different health needs.Whenever I support the individual it is of utmost importance that I maintain privacy, dignity, as well as promoting choice and independence. I have had a great opportunity working in different care settings including NHS hospitals, private care homes for the elderly with various diagnoses, supported living for adults with learning disabilities, adults with physical disabilities, mental health disorders, palliative care, as well as end of life care. During my free time I enjoy reading, watching sport, keeping up with the current affairs, cooking and baking. I look forward to hearing from you if you think I could help. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 5"}

KT13 8PX 220512 I am a very patient, calm easy to get on with person who enjoys working with others especially the elderly. I provide hourly , companionship the odd overnight stay and respite care. My rates are £20 per hour. I have been actively involved and employed in the care sector since I left college. During that time have built up extensive experience in working and managing residential care settings working in care for 40 plus years having worked my way up from a care assistant to a registered manager. I have also worked in domiciliary care settings, and working with different client groups , over the years. I have achieved NVQ levels 2, 3, 4 and Level 5 in Health & Social Care plus kept up to date with all mandatory training throughout my career , ensuring I'm up to date with all the latest legislation and good practice guidelines. In the main I have always worked with the elderly, which I have found interesting but equally challenging in some cases, although this has helped develop my skills and knowledge in handling different situations. I take pride in everything I do and always provide excellent quality compassionate care. I have a wealth of experience, understanding, patience and empathy, in building a good rapport with clients and their families and frequently told I am very approachable, friendly and will go the extra mile for everyone who needs support. I am very dedicated and passionate about what I do, which is Care. I am a hardworking conscientious person that gives 100% in everything I do. Over the last couple of years I have been working as a private carer for clients who live in their own homes, which I have found interesting and rewarding, which has enabled me to use my vast experience, knowledge, skills and expertise. I have worked with dementia clients for the majority of my career and have a great amount of compassion and understanding and treating everyone as an individual. I 've provided tailored care plan to suit the clients I've worked to ensure they receive the utmost care , specific to their requirements. I have also provided End of Life care for clients ,and ensured their wishes have been carried out as requested. I have been working with a gentleman in his own home over the last couple of years who has advanced stages of dementia so I fully understand dementia covers such a broad spectrum. I am very experienced in all personal care duties , including giving assistance with washing /bathing & bed bathing if required. I have plenty of experience I and training in medication administration. I like to keep busy and will do any admin / household duties to ensure a clean and safe environment. My hobbies and interests are meeting new people, going to the theatre/ cinemas, visiting places of interest. I am a very active person that likes to go on walks, swimming, holidays, touring and seeing new sights and cultures. Please get in touch if you think I can help you. I look forward to hearing from you. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

KT12 3JD 36012 Hi my name is Karen and I have worked as a full time carer for the last 14 years. I enjoy working with the elderly, as I feel one can learn so much from their stories and life experiences. I am hardworking, kind and professional, and a good all rounder. I have worked with mainly with elderly clients with Dementia, MS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Spinal Injuries, Stroke, Depression and I am very happy to learn new skills if required to care for a new clients with conditions that are new to me. I prefer Live in, I do everything related to care, personal care, cooking, light housekeeping and some gardening. I love animals, it will be a pleasure to take clients dog/s for a walk if need be. I enjoy outings with my clients and work well with family, doctors, nurses and other care staff. I enjoy nature, gardening , walking and cooking. I also enjoy crafts. I started a knitting group that ran for a year. All the items knitted were donated to a charity in Lesotho for underprivileged children and some to old age homes in the UK. Enjoy crochet, not an expert. When starting with a new client I prefer to have a 1/2 week settling in period where I can get to know my clients conditions. After this period I can discuss with client/family members to determine the length of period of care I can deliver. I am happy to travel within a distance of 150 miles from my base in Walton-On-Thames, as long as my travelling expenses are covered one way by my future clients. I am an experienced driver of manual and automatic and I can drive clients cars if required as long as I am covered under their car insurance policy. Thank you for taking the time in reading my profile and if you would like any further information I am happy to arrange a Curam meet video call. KT12 2RB 80273 Hello, some information on what I have been doing for the last four years - I was previously employed as a carer for a very frail lady in South Africa, mainly as her companion and driver, taking her to appointments and best of all, coffee dates. I arrived in the UK in June 2020 at the start of the lockdown due to Covid, at the beginning of my caring career in the UK I initially worked as a live-in carer in the Oxford area for some months, after which I decided to change to domiciliary caring and at the same time moved to Walton on Thames from Bristol as I wanted to be close to my daughters, one of whom lives in Walton and the other in London. I was full time employed as a domiciliary Carer through an Agency in Ashford for about a year and a half which is where I did a large proportion of my training at the same time have enjoyed meeting many lovely clients, who at times were challenging but we ended up being good friends and we both looked forward to our regular visits. Since leaving the agency environment I changed to a more self-employed way of working in the domiciliary caring industry in and around Walton, Weybridge, and Cobham, though have found myself visiting and driving clients as far as Leatherhead and Croydon. I have many hobbies but most of all enjoy knitting for my grandchildren of whom I have two, walking my dog along the river and all the wonderful parks around our area, reading, cooking and my regular yoga practice. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}
